Tamiya Decoration Sauce Review

Bringing you another review on the products of Tamiya Decoration Series ❤ This time, i will be reviewing the "Dessert Topping Master" Strawberry sauce and Honey sauce :) For those who are not familiar to deco sauces, these are basically non-edible, realistic "sauce" that you can use to decorate your sweets deco

Tamiya carries more "flavours" for it's deco sauces - they have chocolate, caramel, honey, orange, clear (sugar) and strawberry. They also released 3 new "flavours" in late February 2013 (Kiwi, strawberry milk, and blueberry) and i plan to purchase them in the near future ^^ Each bottle comes with 20ml of deco sauce and they were so tiny!! It was too precious to use because of the price and also the amount of sauce that you get >< The pictures on the internet makes it seem bigger, here you can see the size difference between the bottle and my hand.
When you first open the deco sauce, there is a little cap that you need to take off. After that, you just need to screw on the tip and then it's ready to use :)

The tip is small and at first the sauce comes out opaque but will be clear once it's dried. The deco sauce is not "runny" and so you will have to take your time to "drizzle" it nicely on your charm. It also has this weird smell that doesn't smell extremely bad but not good either haha.

After waiting about half an hour, it seems to have dried but i chose to leave it for an hour before touching it with my hands. At this point, the weird smell would be gone and it won't leave a smell on your charm. And voila~ I used the strawberry sauce on an ice cream scoop, and you can see they came out really realistic with little bits of "strawberries" in the sauce.
I used the honey sauce on a pancake charm that i made, i really like how it dries 3D and it looks as if it's "dripping"

Worth it?: Paying $5.00+ for the 1 bottle and shipping is quite expensive. However, this will last me a while since i use very little and i make smaller charms. If you're going to use this for bigger projects, then i would suggest you to make your own deco sauce (which i will make a tutorial soon)

Drying time: at least 30 minutes (best is to leave it for 1 hour)
